Nigerian wins The Lion Award for best VR story at 2019 Venice film festival for “Daughters of Chibok” documentary

A Nigerian film maker, Joel Kachi Benson has won The Lion Award for Best Virtual Reality Story at the 2019 Venice Film Festival for his documentary titled “Daughters of Chibok” which focuses on the kidnapped girls of Chibok, some of whom are still missing in Nigeria. In a related development, Leah Sharibu, a Nigerian Christian girl who was kidnapped in 2018 by the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, in Nigeria, is still missing.
