A group of American tourists were attacked at gunpoint by three men outside a luxury hotel in Chile.
The vacationers had just arrived in Santiago and were about to check into the Ritz-Carlton in the high-end town of Las Condes when they were attacked Sunday morning.
A friend of the couple told Chilean television network Tele13 that the suspects attempted to steal a backpack and fled with a Rolex watch.
The three assailants were caught escaping on a motorcycle. No arrest have been reported at the time of this report.
